Humanity
Over the summer of 2001, l have been reading "A Short History of The World" by Melbourne author, Geoffrey Blainey [Viking, Penguin Books Australia Ltd]. l had previously read "A Brief History of The World" by H.G. Wells ~ which had too much detail.  Blainey's version is very interesting. Essentially it sets out the history of the world from the beginning to 2000. I highly recommend you to read it. The overall way humanity has panned out is fascinating. What with all the bloodshed of endless wars, it's depressing to think that the worst wars occurred in the past century.

From the amazing pyramids to man stepping on the moon, the journey of humanity is terribly complex but very simple at the same time
